This drop-forged and tempered axe blade for the SIMPLEX splitting axe is polished and ground to a convex shape. This prevents the axe from getting stuck in the wood and maintains its splitting effect.
The optimised wedge bars increase the splitting effect and prevent the axe from getting stuck in the wood, making this design ideal for splitting hardwood.
With a weight of 1,070 g, it contributes to the high top-heaviness of the splitting axe and thus to a good splitting effect. The attached plastic sleeve allows the splitting insert to be clamped into the SIMPLEX housing.
This axe blade may only be mounted in the malleable cast iron housing 3011.750!
