3M™ PELTOR™ Optime™ Earmuffs Probed Test Cushions 105, 393-3004-2

These 3M™ PELTOR™ Optime™ Earmuffs Probed Test Cushions are specially designed with a probe tube to enable individual worker fit testing for 3M PELTOR Optime Series Earmuffs. 3M™ PELTOR™ Earmuffs Probed Test Cushions easily snap into the 3M™ PELTOR™ X Series Earmuffs (sold separately) to allow for fit testing with the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System. The complete system issues a pass or fail rating based on the employee's personal attenuation rating (PAR) when wearing 3M PELTOR X Series Earmuffs. These cushions are used specifically with the 3M PELTOR X Series Earmuffs to help employers determine the level of protection the earmuffs are providing. Workers can bring the 3M PELTOR X-Series Earmuffs they are using in the workplace, have the operator remove and inspect their cushions, replace them with the appropriate probed test cushions, and be fit tested. Using the probed test cushions the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System measures the effectiveness of the hearing protection from inside the employees ear, providing accurate quantitative results. These probed test cushions are for use with the system only and are not suitable for use as hearing protection. They are reusable and can be maintained and wiped clean with 3M™ Peltor™ hygiene wipes.
