Measurement data can be precisely determined and saved. These measurement data can then be transmitted via Bluetooth to a computer, tablet or smartphone.
Save valuable time for checks, documentation and transmission and benefit from the ease of use of this system.
Specifically, for you this means:
Quickly and easily organise different tool groups: The new HCT app makes documentation of measurement data easier than ever.
With the help of our HCT app you can enhance your Bluetooth-enabled Hoffmann Connected Tools with additional functions, processes will be integrated into your production process even more efficiently and corporate quality will thus be further increased.
Save time and costs: It only takes a few steps to carry out measurements, save them and send them via Bluetooth to a device of your choice. Bluetooth is a wireless secure connection used for the exchange of data between various devices. The devices used can be from various manufacturers. Bluetooth technology is primarily developed and licensed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).
The prerequisite for a digital device being considered as „Bluetooth-enabled“ is the presence of appropriate software to control the transfer of data, and of a special Bluetooth chip that has a transmitter and receiver unit and is built into the hardware. Some of the well-known manufacturers of such chips are Atheros, Nordic Semiconductor and Toshiba. Bluetooth functionality can also be added to a device by connecting a Bluetooth adapter to the USB interface of the device.
Transferring information via Bluetooth works best across relatively short ranges. The energy-saving exchange via Bluetooth is the ideal solution for the selective, ad hoc transfer of information.
Bluetooth operates at frequencies in the ISM bands between 2.402 GHz and 2.480 GHz. The ISM bands (Industrial, Scientific and Medical bands) are frequency bands that can be used by high frequency equipment in industry, science, medicine and in domestic environments without a licence and (in most cases) without a permit.
Benefits for our customers, derived from using the application:
Check that the tool is in search mode. This is indicated by the flashing Bluetooth icon in the display.
Please select the defined and required Bluetooth connection type to establish a connection with the HCT app. Please select the "simple mode" to establish a connection with the HCT app.
General Bluetooth connection:
Please check in the Bluetooth settings of the mobile device whether the caliper is still listed under "MY DEVICES". The connection via HID connects the calliper directly to the mobile device. If it is still listed there, delete the device from the "MY DEVICES" list by clicking on the small "i" in the blue circle, "Ignore this device" (IOS) or via Remove device (ANDROID). Try again.
General Bluetooth setting:
Please allow "use my location". Location data will not be collected by the use of the app. However, if you do not agree, it may lead to malfunctions in the Bluetooth connection.
Check the correct setting (HID Bluetooth profile).
If the device was already connected to the PC, delete the device from the device list and add it again.
