Version:
DIN 6535 HB – very sturdy and reliable transmission of force
The HB shank according to DIN 6535 is characterised by its cylindrical base geometry with a flattened clamping face parallel to the axis. This clamping face prevents the tool from twisting in the chuck and ensures a secure positive connection. The clamping face is designed for the clamping screw of a Weldon holder. The HB shank really comes into its own in high-performance machining scenarios involving high cutting forces.
Advantage:
- High clamping force; tool does not twist in the holder
- Ideal for milling applications, can be used to a limited extent for drilling applications
- Compatible with Weldon chucks for reliable transmission of force
- High torque transmission
Recommendation:
The HB shank is ideal for applications requiring fixed tool clamping, such as roughing or when machining hard materials. Tools with an HB shank should be used in suitable Weldon or collet chucks to ensure optimum performance.
Note:
Form HB and HE supplied at the same price as HA.
For HB shank please add product code No. 129100HB.
For HE shank please add product code No. 129100HE.
Not suitable for shrink-fit or hydraulic chucks.
