Spring-loaded pressure pieces can be used for locking as well as for pressing and releasing pins.
The ball bearing allows rolling, thereby minimising wear on the counterpart. Depending on the counterpart, this also has a positive effect on the detent behaviour.
Another advantage of the plastic-mounted ball is electrical insulation.
