Made of carefully selected, aged special steel. Particularly wear-resistant due to controlled hardness (HRC 65 - 67). Carefully hardened and hand lapped. Edges slightly chamfered. The test certificate (works calibration certificate) lists the actual deviations from nominal dimensions in addition to the test conditions for every gauge block. The exact actual size is therefore known. The link to national standards is given by traceability to DKD or PTB reference sets.
Accuracy grade 0 as a master standard for checking workshop gauges. For setting gauges to very high accuracies.
