Use 3M™ Hookit™ Soft Disc with standard Hookit™ Back-up pads to perform efficient close edge work, reducing edge cutting when the pad is tipped on edge and maintaining closer contact with the edge. Our discs are made of a durable 1/2″ soft density foam and feature a 3M clean sanding hole pattern. They add conformability to a clean sanding back-up pad*, allowing the operator to follow contours and get in closer to edges, while maximising dust extraction. These soft interface disc pads provide a greater cushion and more conformability than a pad with medium density foam. The series of uniquely designed holes and channels allow dust to be pulled through the holes and away from the sanding surface. This improves the work environment and disc life. Our clean sanding dust management system is designed for better dust evacuation from work surfaces than 5 or 6 hole products. It’s optimised with a self-generated vacuum sanding tool* fitted with a clean sanding filter bag*. Our clean sanding products are designed to suction dust off the workpiece, and from the air. This helps to minimise disc loading and adds life to the abrasive. Reducing dust in the air also helps to improve working conditions. 3M clean sanding abrasives can be paired with clean sanding disc pads, for use on a central vacuum-ready sander. *Sold separately
