Used in fixture construction as a positioning control for unmachined workpieces (flattened ball design, ribbed contact surface) or pre-machined workpieces (flattened ball, flat contact surface).
The response accuracy for the flattened ball version with flat contact surface is in the range of 0.015-0.075 mm, depending on the workpiece surface, and for the flattened ball version with ribbed contact surface it is constant at 0.005 mm (at an operating pressure of 2.5 bar).
The system is monitored by the compressed air back pressure and is displayed on the monitoring unit (item no. 22800.0701).
