A two-component adhesive (2C adhesive) consists of two components (resin and hardener). Mixing these components causes a chemical reaction that produces a durable, stable and resilient connection. The 2-component adhesives come in various mixing ratios and cartridge systems (A and B Systems).

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP 490 is a tough and resilient, thixotropic, 2-component epoxy-resin-based assembly adhesive with a 2:1 mixing ratio. DP 490 was developed for use in applications that are subject to extreme loads and require high strength.
High temperature resistance up to 120°C allows for greater stresses on the bond. Good impact resistance and exceptional stability under static and dynamic loads. DP 490 has very good ageing properties. Easy to apply on vertical surfaces thanks to thixotropic composition. DP 490 exhibits special properties during the manufacture of various composite assemblies. The product has very high temperature resistance and excellent weather resistance.
