Pentru un ⌀ al piesei de prelucrat de > 150 mm se aplică tmax = 17 mm. La o lăţime de canelare de 4 mm adâncimea de canelare tmax = 28 mm este limitată la un ⌀ al piesei de prelucrat de până la 150 mm. Pentru un ⌀ al piesei de prelucrat de > 150 mm se aplică tmax = 24 mm.
