Description

Description:

  • Guide handles prevent contact with greasy surfaces – optimal handling when suspended
  • Safety bolts (quick-release fastener) prevent slippage in case of a defective or not fully engaged fifth wheel coupling (tested at more than 3 times the load)
  • Fifth wheel lifting tool
  • Center of gravity optimized guide with bolt and anti-rotation device
  • Coupling pin for stabilizing the fifth wheel plate
  • King pins in 2″ and 3.5″ for flexible interchangeability
  • Viewing window for monitoring the engagement process
  • TÜV certified: Maximum rated load 330 kg
  • Made in Germany

Why is this application necessary for the workshop?

  • Coupling systems, including the substructure, quickly add up to several hundred kilograms in total weight. Currently, there is no adequate market solution/manufacturer specification for a safe, standardized lifting solution for disassembly/assembly. Vehicle manufacturers and fifth wheel manufacturers only communicate ″with suitable lifting equipment″ and refer to the existing lifting guidelines. This is not specified in any further detail! Common solutions: Homemade solutions are not subject to any approved lifting guidelines in the event of an industrial accident and are classified as negligent. Personal injuries can be attributed to the operation. No safety in case of slippage due to a defective locking mechanism. High force is required for insertion. Are there official lifting aids? Only straps and chain slings meet the requirements, but are more complex to attach due to varying fifth wheel profiles and different substructures. They are only stopgap solutions and not a professional/safe solution
  • Rather impractical in use
  • Enormous additional effort in time and effort
