Description

Version:

  • ZBS

Description:

Tungsten carbide burrs with the FVKS cut are suitable for trimming and contour milling on a wide range of fibre-reinforced plastics (GRP/CRP). They are also suitable for general use on hard glass and carbon-fibre-reinforced duroplastics. Due to its high concentricity, the FVKS cut is suitable for tool machines and manual applications. It is characterized by smooth milling and produces a smooth cut edge. The FVKS cut is suitable for use on machines and robots with high feed rates. Cylindrical burr with centre drill. Burrs with a centre drill (ZBS) allow combined drilling and milling work.

Feature:

  • Dia. point: 2.5 mm
  • RPM from, thermoplastics, fibre-reinforced plastics (GRP/CRP) with a fibre content over 40 %: 24000 RPM
  • RPM to, thermoplastics, fibre-reinforced plastics (GRP/CRP) with a fibre content over 40 %: 48000 RPM
  • Version: ZBS
  • Cut: FVKS
  • Dia. external, metric: 6 mm
  • Dia. shank, metric: 6 mm
  • Length, cut: 25 mm
  • Length, total: 65 mm

Advantage:

  • Particularly well suited to GRP and CRP, also with > 40 % fibre content.
  • Creates smooth edges and is characterized by smooth milling action.
  • The highly accurate concentricity enables impactfree working without creating chatter marks. This considerably reduces wear on the tool and tool drive.

Application:

  • Recommendations for use: Select a burr diameter greater than the thickness of the material to be machined, to avoid impacts and chattering with the risk of damaging or breaking the tool. Increase the rotational speed if the tool tends to chatter. If necessary, reduce the rotational speed and contact pressure if melting occurs. To prevent vibrations, place the tools on powerful drives with an elastically supported spindle wherever possible. Observe the recommended rotational speeds. Burrs with a centre drill (ZBS) are particularly ideal for manual application. They allow secure drilling on almost all surface conditions.
  • Applications: Cutting out holes; Deburring; Drilling; Leveling; Milling; Milling out; Surface work; Trimming
  • Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Tool machine; Robot; Stationary machines; Straight grinder

Material:

  • Materials that can be worked:
    • Fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP, CRP)
    • Fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP, CRP) with a fibre content ≤ 40 %
    • Fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP, CRP) with a fibre content > 40 %
    • Plastics
