Description

Description:

For light cleaning and deburring work on threaded holes or recesses, e.g. keyways. Steel wire is the most common filament material. Brushes with steel wire as the filament material are especially well-suited to work on surfaces and deburring. PFERD special wire has high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength. This ensures that the wire wears down in the optimal way, as well as a long tool life, even in extreme brushing applications. Steel wire withstands temperatures up to 300 °C.

Feature:

  • RPM, max.: 3500 RPM
  • Width, metric: 25 mm
  • Mounting system: Shank
  • Dia. filament material: 0.2 mm
  • Dia. external, metric: 13 mm
  • Dia. shank, metric: 3.2 mm
  • Filament material: Steel wire (ST)
  • Length, total: 90 mm

Advantage:

  • Highly flexible, enabling optimal adjustment to the workpiece contour.
  • Longer tool life due to the design of the stem.
  • With tube brushes with a short eyelet, the filament reaches up to the tip of the brush.
  • The bent end of the wire does not have any sharp edges, which prevents delicate surfaces from getting scratched.
  • Long tool life through use of PFERD special wire.

Application:

  • Recommendations for use: Please observe the recommended rotational speeds. Use with clockwise rotation.
  • Applications: Cleaning; Deburring; Derusting; Removing oxide layers; Paint stripping; Roughening
  • Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Manual application; Power drill

Material:

  • Materials that can be worked:
    • Cast iron
    • Cast steel
    • Thermosetting plastics
    • Steel, cast steel
    • Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
    • Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
    • Thermoplastics
    • Wood
    • Materials that can be worked: Cast iron; Cast steel; Thermosetting plastics; Steel, cast steel; Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC; Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC); Thermoplastics; Wood

Suitable for:

Insert into the workpiece before starting to turn.
Use in clockwise rotation.

Attention:

When using internal brushes inside tubes, bores, grooves or similar, the specified maximum permissible speed may be deviated from in consultation with PFERD.

Note:

  • For safe use, guide the brush into the workpiece before commencing any work.
  • When clamping the brush, ensure that the shank is clamped as far into the arbor as possible. This applies in particular for use in the high rotational speed range. The minimum clamping length is 10 mm.
