Version:
Description:
Felt flap discs are used for pre-polishing and high-gloss polishing on medium-sized to large components. Due to their hardness and flexibility, felt flap discs are used when the exact form of geometric shapes has to be maintained. As a general rule, diamond polishing pastes and polishing paste bars are used for this.
Feature:
- RPM, max.: 7650 RPM
- RPM, optimum: 1500 RPM
- Version: W (soft)
- Width, metric: 22 mm
- Dia. hole: 22.23 mm
- Dia. external, metric: 125 mm
Advantage:
- Highly flexible, enabling optimal adjustment to the contour.
- Can be profiled as desired, meaning they can also be used for tools with complex geometries.
- Low thermal load on the workpiece.
Application:
- Recommendations for use: Use the soft type for buffing and processing workpieces with lots of contours. If very fine finishes need to be achieved, the hard and soft versions can be used successively.
- Applications: Polishing
- Drive types: Angle grinder; Cordless angle grinder
Material:
- Materials that can be worked:
- Aluminium
- Brass
- Bronze
- Cast steel
- Cobalt-based alloys
- Copper
- Fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP, CRP)
- Hardened, heat-treated steels over 1.200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
- Nickel-based alloys (e.g. Inconell and Hastelloy)
- Stainless steel (INOX)
- Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
- Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
- Thermoplastics
- Titanium
- Titanium alloys
- Materials that can be worked: Aluminium; Brass; Bronze; Cast steel; Cobalt-based alloys; Copper; Fibre-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP, CRP); Hardened, heat-treated steels over 1.200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC); Nickel-based alloys (e.g. Inconell and Hastelloy); Stainless steel (INOX); Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC; Steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC); Thermoplastics; Titanium; Titanium alloys
Suitable for:
Use the hard version for pre-polishing flat surfaces and the soft version for polishing and working on very contoured workpieces.
If very fine surfaces are to be achieved, both versions can be used in succession.
Note:
Please add the desired version to the designation.
