Description:
- Application area: On buildings for maintenance and cleaning. For chimneys apply with regard to Fastening and back protection Special regulations.
- Regardless of the climb height, the following applies:
- Either back protection or climbing protection can be used as fall protection (combination not allowed, as the rescue of persons is hindered by the back protection)
- Occupational health examination of the suitability for height (e.g. G 41), the necessity depends on the risk assessment (e.g. total climbing height, type of fall protection) of the respective ladder systems
- Proof of the load-bearing capacity of the subsoil must be provided for each construction project by a responsible stability expert
- Passageway lock (safety door) is always required
- The vertical overlap of successive conductor lines must be at least 1,680 mm
- Rails mounted on both sides of the riser or guided into the riser are required on unsecured exit levels
- Exit gap must not be greater than 75 mm
- Accumulation dimension: Distance from the entry level to the first rung 100–400 mm. When exiting to the front, the top rung must be at the level of the exit level
