Ergonomically designed, easy to use and powerful: these are the qualities that characterise the new digital GARANT 2D height gauge HG1. The device calculates spacing and symmetry, measures squareness and straightness and enables the user to set zero points on components. Operating the device couldn’t be simpler: via touch screen with internationally understandable icons and thumbwheel. The measurement reports are provided in PDF format or can be saved as a CSV file. The measuring results can also be transferred to a PC or printer via USB cable or Bluetooth.

With its incremental optical measurement system, the digital GARANT 2D height gauge HG1 achieves excellent measuring accuracy and reliability in measurement ranges of 350 or 600 millimetres. Simple programming via drag and drop and fast measurement data processing make it a powerful system for quality control.

The new device also impresses with its easy handling: the large pivoting 10-inch touch screen with turn-tilt joint can be adjusted to match the lighting conditions and to the best ergonomic position for the user. The user is guided intuitively through the menu with self-explanatory icons that are widely and easily understood around the world. Performing a measurement using the motorised measurement slide is quick and effortless: using the thumbwheel the slide can be positioned and the measurement started; the integrated air bearing system enables easy, jerk-free adjustment; the grips on both sides with integrated operating key for the air bearing enable the device to be moved precisely and effortlessly on the measurement plate.

Thanks to the lithium-ion battery, the digital GARANT 2D height gauge HG1 can also be used without direct connection to the mains power supply. During measurement breaks, the device switches automatically to power-saving mode without any measurement values being lost. The temperature compensation is performed via an internal sensor.

The new digital GARANT 2D height gauge HG1 comes in two variants for measurement ranges of 350 or 600 millimetres at a measuring force of 1 ± 0.2 N. It is now available to order from the Hoffmann Group eShop or from the 2023/2024 catalogue.
