14 Jun 2021
Munich, 14 June 2021 – The Hoffmann Group, Europe's leading system partner for quality tools, has received Preferred Supplier Status 2021 from Robert Bosch GmbH. This signifies that the Hoffmann Group is counted among the preferred suppliers in the field of 'hand tools' and will be involved in new cooperation projects from an early stage. The Hoffmann Group supplies Bosch plants in 28 countries around the world. On-site support from the relevant local Hoffmann subsidiaries plays a crucial role here. In addition to the Preferred Supplier Status, Bosch has given the Hoffmann Group the Global Supplier Award multiple times in the past.
Martin Reichenecker, spokesperson for the Executive Board and member of the Sales & Marketing Board at Hoffmann SE, explains: "Being named as a global preferred supplier by Bosch is a particular source of pride for us. The past year was also not easy due to interrupted supply chains. This award shows that we can meet the high demands of a global corporation, even in very difficult circumstances. We are going to open our LogisticCity in Nuremberg at the end of July – this will ensure that we have the best performing tooling logistics in the world, enabling us to continue to supply our customers quickly and reliably in the future."
Joachim Mantel, Senior Buyer Global Services Purchasing at Bosch, says: "A highly competitive environment and the need to ensure the Bosch Group remains innovative requires that we focus on suppliers with above-average performance. The Hoffmann Group has safeguarded our tool supply even during the extremely tough conditions throughout the coronavirus pandemic and has always proven to be a reliable supplier. Furthermore, it offers an attractive and wide range of products with its own GARANT brand."
Bosch presents this Preferred Supplier Status every two years to carefully selected suppliers in recognition of their outstanding performance. When awarding this status, the following criteria are considered in particular: technical expertise, product quality, delivery reliability, entrepreneurial potential, price-performance ratio and customer focus.
Christoph Birle, Vice President Key Account Management at the Hoffmann Group, adds: "For me and our global KAM team, the Preferred Supplier Status 2021 is a very special honour and we will work tirelessly to meet the high demands that being a preferred supplier for Bosch entails."
The Hoffmann Group supplies over 135,000 customers worldwide with quality tools, personal protective equipment and workstations and storage. With its partners and its individual subsidiaries in Europe, China, Malaysia, Mexico, India and the USA, it is also on the ground in over 50 countries, enabling it to provide support to its customers locally.
