Slides to the rear on opening. High-strength casting (GG 25) with a pearlitic structure. Long and particularly accurate Vee form precision guide. Precise spindle bearing, lead spindle is fully enclosed with trapezoidal thread and hence protected from dirt. Large flat milled anvil area for light shaping work. The hardened steel jaws are grooved and can be exchanged for ground jaws (see spare jaws).
