Breathing mask 1921

The Cederroth breathing mask is an aid to correct mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. At the same time it also reduces the risks arising from contact between helper and the injured person. The breathing mask consists of a plastic cloth with a non-return valve. Clear instructions printed directly on the cloth. Clear instructions for the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation method and the positioning of the mask over the face of the injured person are printed on the cloth. The non-return valve indicates which side (green) faces the helper and which side (red) faces the mouth of the injured person. The size of the plastic cloth reduces the risk that the helper comes into contact with the blood or vomit of the injured person. The shape of the mouthpiece forces the helper to open their mouth wide and to close their lips firmly around the moth of the injured person so that a leak-tight connection is ensured. The non-return valve is equipped with large holes. These ensure a low resistance. By this means the helper can continue to provide resuscitation for a long time.
